Take the Jayhawk Walk in the Kansas Union A tour of Jayhawk art.
A heavyweight among Jayhawks, this rendition of the Jayhawk was cast in solid bronze by artist Elden Tefft, P'49, G'50, in 1985. Entitled "Jayhawk II Kansas Sarimanok", you can find this Hawk guarding the south end of the third floor corridor of the Kansas Union. Of course you can also find another version of this Jayhawk in front of Strong Hall. The larger Strong Hall piece was originally perched on the northwest side of the Kansas Union.
