The Studio

A host of amenities and services unique to residential living and dining at KU including a Euro-style dining island, a Grab 'n Go convenience area and an outdoor deck for seating and socializing. Of particular interest to those living on Daisy Hill will be the Studio's live performance space featured in the Pulse Coffeehouse, which has late night/early morning hours. (menu)

Mrs. E's

The Ekdahl Dining Commons, or "Mrs. E's," is located atop Daisy Hill, adjacent to Lewis Hall. This food-court specializes in items such as pasta, salads and sandwiches, a pizzaria, and a grill. Choose from 8-10 entrees at each meal! An our extended serving hours accommodate your busy class and work schedules. With 700 seats on three levels, wrap-around windows and a spectacular view of campus, it's an ideal place for meeting friends. (this weeks menu)

GSP Dining Center

In addition to the several entree choices per meal, the GSP Dining Center offers a hot food specialty bar with a variety of items such as Mexican, stir-fry, pasta or baked potatoes. The GSP Dining Center also offers soup, salad, deli, and desert bars, along with "induction cooking" stations featuring made-while-you-wait entrees prepared with ingredients you select. Assist Us in Offering a Pleasant Dining Experience

  • Shirt and shoes are required to be admitted to the dining center.
  • Please have your KU Card or conference access card with you when you come to the dining center.
  • Clean up after yourself! Please be considerate of your fellow diners.
  • No food or drink take-outs. Take your trays to the tray return.
  • Personal cups, mugs, or glasses: leave them in your room!
  • Please take only what you know you will eat when you go through the line (you may return as many times as you like throughout the meal period). Help us reduce waste and keeps your food costs low.
  • Please be courteous. Everyone's dining experience will be more enjoyable if you treat other diners, the staff, and the dining facilities with respect.

A Note on Meal Plans

While the best dining value for residents is one of the KU Cuisine meal plans, any student can choose to pay the door price rates for meals. The 2007-2008 cash rate for all meals offered is $2536 for a single semester or $5,072 for two semesters. Contact KU Dining Services, (785) 864-4590, for further information. Door prices for all-you-care-to-eat dining beginning August 13, 2007 are: Breakfast $7.00; Lunch $8.00; Dinner, $9.00.
