Can "fine dining" really be affordable...and casual? At the all-new Impromptu Cafe it can. Located on the third floor of the Kansas Union, Impromptu features Executive Chef Janna Traver's eclectic mix of tried-and-true menu favorites coupled with innovative new offerings. Join us from 11 am - 2 pm Monday-Friday when classes are in session.

Why not start off your meal with one of our small plate offerings - hummus, grilled margherita pizza or quiche, to name a few - and afterwards enjoy a house-made dessert while lingering with a cup of Pulse blend coffee. Really hungry? Try one of our Angus beef burgers, Grilled Reuben sandwiches or 6 oz lunch steak entrées.

As a courtesy to our fellow KU departments, KU Dining Services will be offering the ability to invoice meals to a departmental account.
